Meet me under the willow tree … Music in the garden series in the music garden

It was raining in the morning … nice and cool in summer but I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to the concert of Summer Music in the Garden  at Toronto Music Garden, curated by Tamara Bernstein. “Toronto Music Garden was designed by internationally renowned cellist Yo Yo Ma and landscape designer Julie Moir Messervy, as a reflection in landscape of Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G Major for unaccompanied cello, BWV 1007, in collaboration with landscape architects from the City of Toronto’s Parks and Recreation department.” – from its website.

I was to meet with my friend under the willow tree there that day … it stopped raining eventually … I went there anyway not knowing if she was going to show up.

Nice breeze from the Lake Ontario, an additional layer to beautiful sound of the evening … Music for string trio and oboe by Mozart, Beethoven and Britten, performed by Sharon Lee and her friends.
