GOD Loves Japan
Feb 04, 2012 – Apr 01, 2012

Opening reception: February 4, 2-5pm

Organized by the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art

God Loves Japan is a time-sensitive installation to take place at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto, memorializing the earthquake/tsunami disaster that took place in Japan on March 11th, 2011. This installation intends to raise awareness of Japan’s long-term recovery needs and will encourage viewers to re-evaluate the meaning of love and empathy in our time. The title is taken as a personal response to 2001 Douglas Coupland book, “GOD Hates Japan.”
